SEO Is Changing Fast, And Generic Content Is Becoming Useless

A lot of SEO content now feels completely lifeless.

You search for advice online, click on a few articles and within seconds you can already predict what they are going to say. The same headlines. The same tips. The same safe, polished wording that sounds like nobody actually wanted to write it.

Now AI tools can create content in minutes, that problem is getting much worse.

Businesses are publishing more content than ever, but much of it feels cold, empty and instantly forgettable. You read it, leave the page and cannot remember a single thing about the company behind it.

That is a problem for SEO.

Because search is changing quickly. People are tired of reading content that feels fake, forced or written purely to chase rankings. Search engines are also getting better at spotting content that adds no real value.

If businesses want to stand out now, they need to sound human again.

And that is where many brands are struggling.

For years, businesses were told to sound more professional online. Somewhere along the way, “professional” started meaning boring. Websites became filled with stiff marketing language, generic advice and articles written to please algorithms instead of actual people.

Then AI arrived and poured petrol on the fire.

Now anyone can generate endless blog posts in seconds. The internet does not need another article called “10 Ways To Improve Your SEO”. It already has thousands of them and most say exactly the same thing.

The truth is, people can feel when content lacks real experience behind it.

AI can pull information together. It can rewrite what already exists online. But it cannot genuinely talk about the stress of watching rankings suddenly disappear overnight. It cannot explain the frustration of spending months on a strategy that completely failed. It cannot describe the excitement when a campaign finally works after weeks of trial and error.

That emotional side matters because it makes content feel real.

People connect with honesty far more than polished perfection.

A business owner openly talking about mistakes they made will often build more trust than a company pretending they have never got anything wrong. Real stories feel believable because they are believable.

This is one of the reasons I invest heavily in video content as part of my own SEO strategy.

When people watch my videos, they see me. They hear my voice, my opinions and my passion for what I do. They can tell I am a real person who genuinely cares about helping businesses grow online.

I am definitely not AI.

You can see my reactions, my emotions and the energy I put into my work. That human connection matters because trust matters. Especially online, where people are becoming more suspicious of content that feels robotic or fake.

Small businesses should not underestimate how powerful that can be.

Big brands can rely on their name. Smaller businesses usually grow because people trust them. That trust often comes from personality, honesty and real life experience, not perfectly written corporate content.

Nobody wants to feel like they are reading words produced by a machine.

People want reassurance. They want insight. They want to know the person behind the business actually understands the problems they are facing.

That is becoming one of the biggest advantages in SEO.

The businesses standing out online now are often the ones willing to sound more human. They share lessons learned. They talk openly about what worked and what failed. They stop trying to sound perfect all the time.

Ironically, those imperfections are often what make content more powerful.

That does not mean businesses should stop using AI completely.

AI can absolutely save time. It can help with planning, research and speeding up parts of the writing process. Used properly, it is a useful tool.

But it should support human ideas, not replace them.

The problem starts when businesses let AI do all the talking. That is when websites lose their personality. Everything starts sounding flat and emotionless, like content written by someone who has never actually dealt with a real customer before.

And people notice.

In a world where AI generated content is everywhere, genuine human experience stands out far more than another perfectly structured article packed with keywords.

Because at the end of the day, people do not remember content that sounds polished.

They remember content that made them feel understood.
