One Stop Nature Shop SEO Case Study

Background:

In 2011, Richard Campey and Bob Town launched their physical and online store ‘The One Stop Nature Shop’, selling wildlife watching supplies. The team are driven by their love of wildlife to deliver a huge range of quality products supported by fantastic customer service, including binoculars, trail cameras and bird feeders.

The Challenge:

The One Stop Nature Shop contacted us back in July 2023 to improve their site’s SEO. We took a brief pause in August 2024 for our inhouse Website Developer to design and build a new website.

By October 2024, the new website was live, and we established our targets to improve nationwide visibility of the site, increasing traffic and sales.

Implementation:

Between July and September 2023, we focused on working through all top level categories on the site to ensure they were optimised for relevant, high-intent keywords that potential customers were searching for on Google.

Through our initial keyword research we learnt that there were very few competitors who offer a similar standard of product diversity to the One Stop Nature Shop, which created a brilliant foundation for us to grow the site traffic and rank highly for keywords.

By 2024, it was clear that our strategy was working as keyword rankings continued to climb on Google Search results and organic traffic was steadily increasing. We continued optimising pages across the site categories, eventually making our way through the subcategories.

The team at One Stop Nature Shop have been a pleasure to work with throughout and are always on hand to produce informative, high quality content for the site when requested. This has helped expedite the SEO process as we are able to receive content directly from experts in the industry.

Fast forward 9 months:

It became apparent that we’d hit a ceiling in terms of SEO growth, due to technical issues on the website that couldn’t be fixed. More importantly, after analysis of user journey, user experience and core web vitals, it was evident that the site was negatively impacting online sales.

A brand new website:

We discussed the possibility of a new website with the client and spent time outlining our proposed approach. The new site would be free of technical issues and would provide a much more user friendly experience for customers.

Our inhouse Website Developer spent the next month designing and building a new website for The One Stop Nature Shop.

Results:

As soon as the new website launched, we immediately saw an increase in organic traffic, which was much sooner than we anticipated. This was a great result for the team at The One Stop Nature Shop.

We have seen organic traffic grow from 1,718 users in October 2024, to 3,369 users in March 2025. This is an increase of 96% in just 5 months.

We continue to work collaboratively with the brilliant team at The One Stop Nature Shop to improve their keyword rankings and grow their organic traffic.
